Q1. How do I install my Quatech GPS Receiver
A. Quatech GPS Receivers are immediately recognized upon
insertion. When prompted by your OS to select a driver, point it
to the Quatech Bluetooth CD that shipped with our product. Detailed
installation instructions can be found in the product manuals, which
are also provided on the Quatech Bluetooth CD. The manual and drivers
are also available from the Quatech
Driver Database on this website. We strongly suggest that you
review the manual for your product prior to installing it.
Q2. How do I install GPSInfo software?
A. To install GPSInfo software, insert the Quatech Bluetooth
CD into your CD drive, and then when the installation wizard launches,
select "install GPSInfo" from the main menu.
Q3. What kind of mapping software can I
use with my GPS receiver?
A. Quatech GPS Receivers are compatible with most GPS mapping
software programs. However, we offer the Microsoft® Streets
& Trips 2005 software package as an option with all our GPS
receivers. This robust program has many helpful and unique features
that our customers have found useful.
Q4. Is there a diagnostic program I can
use to determine if my GPS Receiver is working properly?
A. Yes. The GPSInfo software package that is included with
all Quatech GPS Receivers can be used for both diagnostics and configuration.
Q5. How long does a full charge on battery
on my GPSR-001B Bluetooth GPS receiver typically last ?
A. Typical battery life for the GPSR-001B is 20 hours--an
industry leading Quatech advantage!
Q6. Can I purchase spare batteries for my
GPSR-001B Bluetooth GPS receiver ?
A. Yes. Spare batteries are available for purchase
from the Quatech website.
Q7. Can I also use my GPSR-001C CompactFlash
GPS receiver is a PC or PDA with a standard PCMCIA slot?
A. Yes. But you will need a PCMCIA converter for CompactFlash
cards iinorder to use the CF card in the PCMCIA slot. These converters
can be purchased from most computer hardware vendors. They can also
be obtained from Quatech directly by calling our technical support

A. The GPSR-001B is a serial slave Bluetooth device. It
can be used with any PDA/PC that provides SPP (Serial Port Profile)
mode Bluetooth support.
