Q1. How can I use the ETR-RS232 to transfer 3 wire RS-232 (RX, TX, and Ground)?

A. Please use Pin #2 (TX), Pin #3 (RX), and Pin #5 (Ground) of the ETR-RS232 connector for your three wire application. Please leave Pin #7 (CTS) and Pin #8 (RTS) alone, this pair of signals are used for hardware handshaking.

A. Yes, the ETR-RS232 requires a 9V 300 mA power supply.

Q3. Does the ETR-RS232 support all handshaking signals?

A. No, the ETR-RS232 just extends the TX and RX lines.
