Quatech Announces Transfer of Data Acquisition and Signal Conditioning Module Business to SuperLogics

May 13, 2002-- Quatech (Akron, OH), today announced that it has reached an Agreement with SuperLogics, Inc. (Newton, MA) to transfer its line of QTM-8000 Series data acquisition and signal conditioning modules to SuperLogics. Under this Agreement, effective today, SuperLogics will sell and support the full line of QTM-8000 Series remote modules. SuperLogics will also service all existing Quatech QTM-8000 series customers.

Quatech has been in the data acquisition marketplace for almost 20 years, and offers a wide variety of data connectivity solutions. The QTM-8000 series provide a cost-effective method of monitoring and controlling analog and digital I/O signals via the serial communication port that comes standard on most PCs. This system does not require a plug-in board --a large advantage if your PC is short on expansion slots, as are many of today's PCs.

Quatech will continue to offer the full line of its mobile and handheld Data Acquisition hardware in the PCMCIA format, along with the custom software package designed for it.

"SuperLogics has been a strategic partner of ours for a long time, and they share Quatech's commitment to customer service and support." said Steve Runkel, Quatech's President and CEO. "I am confident that this transition will be in the best interest of both our customers because SuperLogics is focused on analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog hardware and software solutions."

"In a continuing effort to bring the most innovative data acquisition hardware and software solutions to market and to enhance our complimentary relationship with Quatech, we are proud to announce the acquisition of the QTM-8000 Series product line." Said Matt McGinity, SuperLogics' president. "These modules play an important role in both our popular low-cost, ready-to-run data acquisition systems and in our large scale distributed automation systems."
