QUATECH ANNOUNCES WINDOWS 7 SUPPORT FOR PRODUCTS
Device connectivity and networking product lines are now Microsoft Windows 7 compatible

HUDSON, OHIO – January, 12, 2010 – Quatech, Inc., a division of DPAC Technologies (OTCBB:  DPAC.OB), and leader in wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) networking solutions, announces their device networking and connectivity products lines including Wired/ 802.11 Ethernet to Serial Device Servers and 802.11 Industrial Ethernet Bridges to be compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system. Quatech’s Windows 7 product software drivers are now available to download thru the company’s website.

Quatech continues to be the industry leader producing quality device networking and connectivity products, and also keeping up-to-date with the latest technology trends, including operating system platform compatibility.

Products that are Windows 7 operating system compatible include:

  • Serial Device Servers – Network enable serial devices with wired and/or secure 802.11 wireless serial device servers featuring WPA2 support and extended high temperature operating ratings.

  • Wireless Industrial Ethernet BridgesHigh temperature rated 802.11 Ethernet Bridges create a reliable connection between an 802.11b/g wireless LAN and a device with a standard Ethernet port. The Bridge transparently conveys data between a device with a 10/100 Ethernet interface.

  • ExpressCard AdaptersSerial and Parallel port expansion for mobile connectivity on Laptops with ExpressCard slot technology.

  • PCMCIA Serial Cards – PCMCIA Mobile/Laptop connectivity with serial and parallel expansion cards.

  • PCI and UPCI Serial Boards – Windows 7 compliant board-level, seamless system expansion serial boards for PCI and Universal PCI boards

  • USB 2.0 Serial Adapters – High speed USB  to Serial connectivity serial adapter line (embedded and external) compatibility with Windows 7 systems will be completed by mid Q1, 2010.

Quatech continues to upgrade and enhance other products to be compatible with Windows 7 and looks to be fully compliant by the end of Q1, 2010.
