(OTC: DPAC) through its domestic and international channel partners. The addition of AirborneDirect complements Quatech's high performance device networking product line and gives customers an industrial grade wireless device server with extended operating temperatures. "Adding AirborneDirect products to our lineup enhances our machine-to-machine wireless capabilities considerably," says Steve Runkel, Quatech's President and CEO. "Not only do we add four high-quality products, the added features of extended operating temperatures and low power consumption give Quatech a unique competitive edge in the market." The AirborneDirect products are now available worldwide through Quatech's extensive distribution network. These products include three wireless device servers and a wireless LAN to Ethernet bridge. The wireless device servers are available with a single port in three variations: RS-232 to 802.11b (part number ABSE-100D), RS-232/422/485 to 802.11b (ABSE-400D) and RS-232 to 802.11b powered by the host device over the serial cable (ABSE-100D-POC). Quatech will also offer the AirborneDirect 802.11b Wireless LAN-to-Ethernet Bridge (ABEB-10BT), providing an industrial grade wireless adapter for legacy wired Ethernet equipment. Boasting an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, the AirborneDirect Wireless Device Servers offer a unique combination of industrial grade quality and features including compact form factor and low power consumption. About the size of a computer mouse and packaged in an attractive nylon case with built-in mounting bracket, AirborneDirect Wireless Device Servers consume only 2W of power yet provide exceptional IEEE 802.11b-compliant transmit power and receive sensitivity. Virtual COM port drivers are included for Windows® 2000/XP, and support for other operating systems is available through the AirborneDirect sockets programming and tunneling features. Like all Quatech products, the AirborneDirect products will carry a five-year warranty. The AirborneDirect products are available now from Quatech directly and from authorized Quatech distributors and resellers including Express Systems & Peripherals (www.express-inc.com) and Provantage (www.provantage.com). List price for the ABSE-100D is $249, ABSE-400D $269 and the ABSE-100D-POC is $269. The ABEB-10BT is listed at $199.
