Quatech, Inc., a DPAC Technologies company, has recently released a next generation 802.11b/g design platform with Atheros AR6002 radio technology and a 32 Bit ARM9 CPU, among other feature upgrades, and formally announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the following older designs of the 802.11b/g wireless DP100 and DP500 series product lines:

• 802.11b/g Airborne™ Embedded Modules and Radios (DP-100/500 series)
• 802.11b/g AirborneDirect™ Wireless Device Servers (DP-100 series)
• 802.11b/g AirborneDirect Ethernet Bridges (DP-100 series)
• 802.11b/g Airborne and AirborneDirect Evaluation and Development Kits

The specific product part numbers affected by this notification are detailed in Table 1. The last day to place orders to Quatech for the affected parts is September 30, 2011. Quatech shipments of the affected parts will end on December 31, 2011.

Quatech customers are urged to migrate over to the 802.11b/g Airborne and AirborneDirect successor products, also detailed in Table 1. The replacement parts are backward compatible with 802.11b/g networks, and are equivalent in form-fit-function to the original 802.11b/g products. Quatech continues to provide a 5 year limited warranty on all of the 802.11b/g Wireless product lines.
