As with any wireless communication technology, 802.11 products are subject to FCC regulations. Since 802.11 radios operate in the unregulated, 2.4 GHz ISM band, the FCC only requires that 802.11 enabled products be tested at a certified lab to ensure that the radio does not exceed radiation limits and cause interference with other devices operating at these frequencies.
To simplify final product FCC certification, all Quatech Airborne products are tested at a certified lab by Quatech to ensure full FCC compliance. Quatech's customers are thus ensured that their products will move quickly and painlessly through the FCC test and certification process. In addition, Quatech provides the full documentation set required to complete this FCC certification process, and our CLI includes FCC–specific testing commands to simplify testing. We also provide examples of completed FCC documentation for our Airborne products for reference.
At Quatech we understand what it takes to get a reliable, wireless system through the development process, so we've done the work and provide the support so our customers don't need to be experts in the ins and outs of wireless communications.
