Wireless Ethernet Solutions for Medical Devices

3D Ultrasound Machines

Ultrasounds are critical in healthcare, allowing technicians and doctors to view what is going on inside small areas of patients in real-time, and capture images without splicing or exposure to radiation from xrays. From transmitting image data of a baby to a printer for a mom-to-be's keep sake to sending critical patient image data to a doctor or surgeon, Quatech's Enterprise Ethernet Adapters keep devices wirelessly connected and mobile; improving department productivity and providing workflow solutions across a wide range of settings.

Infusion Pumps

Infusion pumps help automize the administration of medicines and fluids to patients, reducing risks and maximizing clinical workflow. They provide caretakers with the ability to administer accurately measured doses of medicine that may be too small or impractical to do by hand. Quatech's 802.11 wireless Enterprise Ethernet adapters make it possible to monitor, control, and provide infusion pump device reports over the wireless network. The wireless adapters support remote device management and device monitoring, reducing potential medication errors.

Vital Sign Monitors

Doctors and nurses have the flexibility of monitoring a patient’s vitals from a centralized station, creating a more efficient work environment. Inside the patient’s room, the machines have a barcode scanner that transmits patient information electronically, reducing transcription errors. To give these machines Wi-Fi access, medical device manufacturers use Quatech’s Airborne enterprise class embedded wireless serial device modules. By providing all of the necessary RF technology, networking stacks, extended operating temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) and advanced security features in a compact, single-board package, Quatech provides OEMs with the simplest and most cost-effective solution for embedding Wi-Fi into their product designs.
