Description
Quatech RS-232 and RS-422/485 UPCI boards completely meet the PCI 2.3 specification
for Universal connectivity and Low Profile boards, as well as all other
aspects of the specification so that you can be certain that every Quatech
Universal PCI board will function properly and perform reliably in your
system. The new Low Profile PCI footprint was designed to provide greater flexibility
for embedded systems, thin-clients, and desktop and server environments.
The boards are mechanically similar to standard PCI boards, but use a
shorter board and a different mounting bracket.

- 1, 2 or 4 serial ports each configurable as RS-422 or RS-485
- RS-232 speeds up to 921.6 kbps
- RS-422/485 speeds up to 460.8 kbps
- Auto enable/disable of RS-422/485 transmitter
- Full duplex and half duplex modes supported on RS-422/485 models
- Universal PCI connector compatible with 3.3V and 5V systems
- MD1 Low Profile Board (fits 2U racks without riser cards)
- 16550 UARTs with 16-byte FIFOs (1,2, 4 port boards)
- 16750 UARTs with 64-byte FIFOs (8 port boards)
- Full modem control and hardware and software flow control
- Standard DB-9 connectors
- Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/Vista & Linux support
- RoHS compliant
