Description
The new ExpressCard offers users an easy way to add hardware or media to existing systems. The latest technology provides desktop and mobile computer users a consistent, easy and reliable way to connect devices into their systems. It’s mobile and small-form-factor replaces conventional parallel buses for I/O devices with scaleable, high speed interfaces; while improving performance by supporting USB 2.0 standards.
Quatech's ExpressCard 17-in1 memory card reader gives you fast and easy access to most popular storage formats on laptops. The XCD-MCR can be plugged in to your laptop's expresscard slot to directly ready SD, SDHC, HS-MMC, MS, HS MS, MS Pro and MS Rom cards. The reader also gives you access to Mini SD, Micro SD, T-Flash, RS MMC, MMC Micro MS Duo, MS Pro Duo and MS Pro Micro cards with an adapter. The ExpressCard XCD-MCR reader functions are conveniently packaged into the smaller ExpressCard 34 format for easy storage and mobility.
Quatech’s ExpressCards are available in 1 or 2 ports in either Ethernet or SATA
configurations. It improves data transfer
speed by using higher performance serial data
interfaces rather than parallel buses. The
ExpressCard technology uses a simpler
connector and eliminates the CardBus
controller by using direct connections to PCIExpress
and USB ports in the host. This lowers
the cost of slot implementations in host
systems. |
