For industrial grade, 802.11 wireless Ethernet bridges and adapters, Airborne is the industry leader.

Quatech, Inc. offers both an Ethernet bridge module (model ABDG-BR-IN5010, Client Bridge) and an Ethernet adapter module (model ABDG-ET-IN5010, NAT3 router)

Airborne is a family of fully integrated 802.11b/g wireless LAN bridge and device server products designed specifically to provide wireless LAN and Internet connectivity to industrial, scientific, medical and automotive applications. The highly integrated hardware and software enables plug-and-play capability. This significantly reduces the complexity of wireless system deployment and network connectivity.

The family's industrial grade design (including extended operating temperatures) gives Airborne the reliability and performance demanded in enterprise applications. Other convenient features include compact form factor, low power consumption and advanced security including 802.11i-PSK, AES (FIPS-197), WPA2 Enterprise, WPA (TKIP), 802.1x/RADIUS and EAP support with certificates For OEMs with large installed bases of Ethernet interface equipment, or for systems integrators looking for an easy and inexpensive way to network a wide range of equipment, Airborne is the ideal choice.

The Airborne Industrial Wireless Ethernet Bridge creates a connection between an 802.11b/g wireless LAN and a device with a standard Ethernet port. The Bridge transparently conveys data between a device with a 10/100 Ethernet interface and a wireless LAN without drivers or complicated addressing schemes.

Airborne Router

Quatech offers the most advanced 802.11 solutions for Ethernet clients. The model ABDG-BR-IN5010 is a fully functional NAT level 2.5 Ethernet bridge. The model ABDG-ET-IN5010 Airborne Industrial Ethernet adapter is a NAT level 3 router, supporting a public IP address for the wireless interface and a private network for the attached devices on the wired interface. With NAT3, the router integrates with your existing Ethernet devices, supporting 10/100 Ethernet, DHCP and static IP addressing, allowing a quick connection to the most advanced Enterprise class networks without changing your platform.

SpeedLink
Also included is the latest Airborne SpeedLink roaming feature. This enables mobile devices on a wireless network to roam quickly and freely without losing important data, ensuring high level connection reliability. Whether you are walking around a hospital or driving through a warehouse, SpeedLink ensures you stay connected.

Five Layer Security

5 Layer Security

Protecting enterprise networks is one of the most important challenges undertaken by today's network administrators. Airborne security keeps your data private by using the latest wirelss security protocols (WPA2-Enterprise) and SSH tunneling. It protects the network by encrypting configurations and providing an embedded firewall. Today there is no more secure solutions for enterprise class device servers.

Quatech supports the broadest range of EAP processes (including EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, PEAP and LEAP). In addition, the Airborne line supports the most flexible certificate delivery and management available in the wireless device market.

Maximum Protection and Performance

Quatech’s ruggedized, industrial device servers are built tough—tough enough to come with a standard 5 year warranty.

The Airborne product line is rated to meet full industrial operating temperature range of -20°C to +85°C. The industrial series also incorporates a variable power supply (5-36 VDC) with screw terminal connectors for easy installation.

Quatech’s highly-optimized 32 bit platform delivers superior transmit power and receive sensitivity, leading to greater range and the highest available throughput rates over both the serial and 10/100 Ethernet interfaces.

Airbone wireless device servers come standard with an integrated 3 dBi omni antenna. Users may also extend the range of the Airborne line by selecting a higher-gain antenna and magnetic mount options (contact Quatech for an approved list).

All Airborne Wireless Device Servers are built to meet worldwide regulatory requirements. Certifications include FCC, IOC, CE, ETSI, RoHS and WEEE.

Airborne Router

PortFlex

The Ethernet Adapter from Quatech includes a fully functional Network Address Translation (NAT) router. When coupled with the built-in DHCP server on the Ethernet port, the most powerful Ethernet adapter in the M2M market comes to life. Your Ethernet device needs no special security settings, IP configuration or proprietary protocols. If it supports DHCP or Static IP addressing, you can quickly connect to the most advanced Enterprise class networks without changing your platform.

With an included firewall and advanced rule based port-forwarding the NAT router allows multiple Ethernet devices to interact with almost any wireless network deployed. The NAT rounter is configured to work out of the box and requires almost no configuration. Just send your data to the IP address of the Wireles Interface and the Airborne router will do the rest.

The ABDG-BR-IN5010 is a client bridge. The ABDG-ET-IN5010 is a fully functional NAT3 router.
