Our customer created a custom software product that is designed to do the timing and secretarial work for United States Skiing Association ski-races. It takes input through a serial port from a timer that then sends information to an electronic scoreboard showing bib#, rank and the competitors time. It also sends that information through a serial port. The system requires two serial ports, one dedicated to data input and the other for sending the data to the scoreboard. Quatech's SSP-100 is used to provide the an additional port to the laptop used to run the system.
