Application: Secure Military Radio Communications

Military communications require secure connections and robust error checking to make absolutely certain that data is transferred unintercepted and uncorrupted. This data can be anything from e-mail messages, to reconnaissance photos, to audio or visual transmissions which may in some circumstances be encrypted. Multiband tactical radios are often used to implement these secure , high-speed connections between field personnel and home base systems. Size is not an issue for these systems when installed at a home base on a desktop computer. However, size is of paramount concern in the field. Our customer's military radios are small enough to be carried in a backpack, and Quatech's ruggedized PCMCIA cards are robust enough to withstand even the harshest field conditions.
