Bluetooth connectivity is a huge advantage for a wide variety of mobile POS applications. In the example below, a slim tablet PC can be used to scan barcodes at customer-check-in points, then data associated with that barcode can be entered using the table--for example, an authorization signature, a mileage reading, or a meter reading--and a receipt can be printed for the customer using a portable printer than can often be attached to a belt loop. The Quatech CompactFlash Buetooth sits securely inside the tablet PC, meaning there is one less piece of loose equipment of which to keep track. Data can be transmitted back to a home office via bluetooth as well, using any Bluetooth enabled wireless access point.
