Quatech Beats the Competition
for Lowest-Latency in
Serial Device Server Shoot-out

Comtrol Corporation and Digi International have made competing claims over the past year, each one trying to convince the buying public that its serial device server products were the "fastest" on the market. Comtrol recently published a serial shoot-out that matched their products against Digi and Lantronix, but neglected to include Quatech in the test.

So we took the Comtrol challenge, and recreated the test here in our labs. Our measured latency, using standard TCP/IP protocols (not a proprietary protocol like Comtrol's RTS), was faster than any of the previously recorded Comtrol, Digi and Lantronix latency times by a considerable margin!
