Show Report
Quatech
attended RFID World this month month. We were pleased to meet with
those of you who made it--from all over the world!--to the show
in Dallas.

There
were a wide range of attendees at the show. Many people were new
to RFID are attended in educational mode. Others had specific projects
in mind and were looking for appropriate solutions. The exhibitors
also offered a wide range of services from complete RFID system
solutions to more specific offerings.
Quatech's
main focus was on network enablement of RFID Readers and Printers.
We demonstrated both the wired and wireless device server products
for these applications. Overall there was a strong interest in Quatechs
focused approach to the RFID applications. Several visitors to our
booth were impressed by Quatech's defined approach to the industry
in contrast to the other companies who were boasting a we
can do it all approach to the RFID world.
There
was a particularly strong interest in using our wireless product
to expand TCP/IP connectivity. One key application involved the
ability to decentralize an RFID printing application using a device
server that connected to a shop floor in place of a system that
required physically walking tags from a data center to the shop.
Our
next stops are ISC
West in Las Vegas April 6-8, the ENTELEC
2005 Conference in New Orleans April 13-15, and the Intelligent
Transport Society (ITS) Annual Meeting and Exposition in Phoenix
May 2-4.
We
look forward to seeing you there!
