Quatech named one of the top 99 places to work in Northeast Ohio.

The NorthCoast 99 annual awards are presented by the Employers Resource Council (ERC). Founded in 1920, ERC is Northeast Ohio's largest employers' association serving over 900 organizations employing nearly 400,000 employees in twenty-two Northeast Ohio counties. The NorthCoast 99 awards ceremony is the culmination of a yearlong effort to identify ninety-nine of the best places to work in Northeast Ohio.

The NorthCoast 99 award candidates must be nominated by one of their employees. The candidates are then evaluated for excellence in a variety of program/policy categories including.

Quatech Recognized for Outstanding Business Growth with a Cascade Capital Corporation 2003 Business Growth Award.

Cascade Capital Corp. is a not-for-profit lending institution certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Ohio Department of Development. They are focused on fostering economic development in Ashland, Holmes, Medina, Portage, Summit, and Wayne county Ohio by assisting companies with small business loans and other financing programs.

The Cascade Capital Corp. Business Growth Award is based on several criteria. Award recipients are located in one of the above Ohio counties, they have increased sales by at least 100 percent or $5 million over their most recently completed five-year period (1998-2002), or they have increased total employment by 50 percent or 25 actual employees over the same five-year period. Quatech's award was based on its outstanding increase in sales during this period.

Quatech named among the 100 fastest-growing companies in Northeast Ohio.

Over the five-year period from 1998-2002, Quatech's sales grew by 98% percent, good for an 80th place debut on the 2003 Weatherhead 100 list.

The Weatherhead 100 is a premier business recognition award, given annually by Enterprise Development, Inc., Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management and Cleveland Enterprise Magazine. It is based on the percentage of sales growth over the past five years. In addition, nominated firms must be for-profit in nature, have over $1 million in sales in 2002, and be headquartered within Northeast Ohio's sixteen counties.
